E-mail newsletter – Motorola
The client:
Motorola Enterprise Mobility, the global leader in solutions for data capture, transfer and processing.
The task:
Concept development, design and production of a monthly newsletter to be distributed to prospects, customers and partners in 44 countries.
The solution:
Publicare produces Horizon once a month. It features both international items, such as product and service news, and country-specific content. What’s more, all information is structured and presented in a customer-friendly way. There are links to landing pages with more in-depth facts and figures. And recipients can contact Motorola staff and partners quickly and easily via a localized service and contact section. The newsletter is personalized, and distributed in ten languages.
The technology:
Publicare researches and creates an editorial plan. The company is responsible for content development and newsletter production, including all coordination and approval processes, and recipient list management. The emarsys xpress e-mail marketing platform is employed for distribution and reporting.
The benefits:
The newsletter attracts new prospects, strengthens the loyalty of existing customers, and supports cross-selling and up-selling. Before it was acquired by Motorola, Symbol Technologies did not operate country-specific Websites. This gave the monthly newsletter special significance, serving as a central communications platform for international markets. It creates greater visibility on the local market, benefiting Motorola and its partners. And recipients actively use the newsletter to contact Motorola.
The services:
Publicare acts as an external service unit, providing a one-stop solution. It is responsible for everything from concept development, to content management, design, production and distribution, right through to follow-up reporting. Publicare researches news topics across the entire EMEA region, develops editorial plans, and, after agreement with the client, produces the content. Once the client has confirmed technical accuracy, the articles are translated – and news, events and announcements relating to specific countries are added.
The newsletters subsequently go into production. And, when the client has given final approval, the personalized e-mails are distributed. Around ten days later, Motorola receives a detailed report on the results.
